When I was mercury toxic, I found that sulfur foods often exacerbated my symptoms, depending on how much I had at one meal. It depends how poisonied you are, as well as depending on how much sulfur your body needs, as opposed to how much extra will be mobilising the mercury.
Some people do very well on sulfur foods (thrive on it), but others find it just makes the symptoms worse. You'll know how you feel yourself. I would know after a meal of high sulfur whether I had to be careful or not.
It does mobilise and can encourage "some" mercury excretion, but I would not over do it. Some want to exclude sulfur foods completely, that's their choice. It really does depend on how you react to it personally.
I can have it now in abundance, I'm fine with it. But there have been times it's just stirred things up a bit much. I never excluded it though, just lessened it a bit, but I do feel it did encourage some mercury to come out. The things that REALLY stirred it up was chlorella and garlic in supplement form etc. But again, some people do well on this stuff and claim it's detoxed a lot of their mercury.
There is not really one answer for everybody. I remember when I was mercury toxic, having just one meal with cabbage and eggs and I could tell almost immediately it was stirring the metals around. I felt ill, nothing serious, but enough to stir it up.
