The other day I went to a new doctor. He is a D.O. ( doctor of osteopathy) and before I went I made out a list of symptoms I had. When I talked to him and went over the list, he was surprised I had so many problems even though some were minor. Most of my symptoms were I now know Mercury related, but I really didn't discuss mercury with him. When I finished with him, he wrote out a long list of lab tests and said it was the most tests he ordered for anybody. It's not that I'm dying or anything but I tried to filled him in on all the symptoms and severity so he could draw a diagnostic conclusion. I grew up around toxic chemicals where I live and my father worked in battery and plastic manufacturing plants so I could have been exposed since the womb. What can I do to work with this new doctor so as not to alienate him or help him to cure me. There are D.O.'s that take a holistic approach and that's what I wanted and that's why I decided to go to one, also if I needed endocrine treatment he could do that for me where a chiropractor couldn't. I have studied my problems and symptoms for years and that's how I found this message board. Thanks for the advise and I'll let you guys know how it progress with the doc.

next time you talk to the doc , you may want to feel him out on the mercury issue ( for example ask him what does he know about mercury poisoning , this single question will answer many of your own about his veiws on the subject without putting you on the spot and avoiding him catogorising you as a problem paitent, I found out alot from my old doctors just with that simple question and had to sort through a few doctors before I found one that actually recognized the symtoms and was able to help me instead of waste my time
