<p class="style29">Dear TVC Supporter: </p>
<p class="style29">In all my years of lobbying, I have never seen such confusion over a bill. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act — known as ENDA — the homosexual/transgender bill, has stalled a half a dozen times. Many Members of Congress are threatening to derail the bill if the term “gender identity” is not officially added back into the bill. </p>
<p class="style29">As you know, Traditional Values Coalition has taken the lead in fighting ENDA. We will continue to work to make sure it is defeated! </p>
<p class="style29">One Member of Congress described what is going on as — “such bad blood between the homosexual-transgenders groups. I have never seen such infighting.”</p>
<p class="style29">Over the last 7 months, I have worked very closely with the White House, Members of Congress and staff to make sure they understood this issue and the threat ENDA poses to millions of Americans – Christian business owners, Christian schools, universities and summer camps, daycare, as well as organizations such as Traditional Values Coalition. </p>
<p class="style29">We received a letter from the Administrative Office of the President. Here is a short excerpt. We are grateful for their recommendation to President Bush that he veto ENDA.</p>

<p>H.R. 3685 would extend existing employment-discrimination provisions of Federal law, including those in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, to establish “a comprehensive Federal prohibition of employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.”  <U>The bill raises concerns on constitutional and policy grounds, and if H.R. 3685 were presented to the President, his senior advisors would recommend that he veto the bill.</U> ……read more click here</p></td>

<p class="style29">This letter added to the pandemonium. The Wednesday vote was cancelled and also the possibility of a Thursday or Friday vote. As yet a vote is not scheduled. With each day that Speaker Pelosi delays the vote we are able to educate more Members of Congress about the dangers of ENDA. </p>
<p class="style29"><U><strong>We have taken the leadership role on this issue in fighting against ENDA. In fact, Rev. Lou and I have been so busy walking the halls of Congress and giving briefings to legislators and White House officials that we haven’t had time until today to contact you. </strong></U></p>
<p class="style29">We need your financial help to continue waging our educational and lobbying battle against ENDA. Frankly, we’re both exhausted from spending weeks preparing briefings, phoning, writing, and getting legal advice from labor lawyers on the dangers that ENDA poses to religious institutions and to businesses. </p>

<p class="style29">With your help, we can continue waging this war to defend traditional values and to push back against the homosexual-drag queen agenda that is being pushed by Pelosi, Congressman Barney Frank (the bill’s author) and their puppet masters who run various transsexual and homosexual groups! Frank and Pelosi seem committed to doing the bidding of these groups rather than caring about the welfare of millions of business owners and people of faith!</p>
<p class="style29">We must stop them – but not without your continued prayers, financial support and activism!</p>
<p class="style29"><U>As I said before, Rev. Lou and I have been lobbying against passage of ENDA for more than a decade. During the past few weeks, we’ve met with numerous legislators and their staff to educate them on the serious dangers of adding “sexual orientation” as a protected class status under our nation’s civil rights laws. And it has the word “perceived” which will be a legal nightmare.</U></p>
