Thanks for that Gary, I realize now that coming from Norwegian ancestry and living most of my life in the midwest eating barely any seafood, contributed to a lack of necessary iodine in my diet and was a huge factor in my illness.
One of the things I have learned on my journey is that people of Northern European descent tend to be poor excretors of heavy metals, unless they eat a diet rich in iodine.
And doing the Gerson diet, I was drinking less water cause of all the juicing...so I will start to drink more again. I had bad die off from it too, and had to cut back my dosage. Thanks for that info.
TW I take between 3 and 8 drops a day depending on how I feel. I did feel warmer almost immediately, and a sense of well being too. I am not sure of the name of the tests that my ND does, I will phone him and find out tomorrow.
I think iodine deficiency is a huge factor in today's "new" illnesses. Almost every menopausal woman I know is on thyroid meds...more money for Big Pharma..why else would the FDA step in and ban the Lugols'?
Remind me if I forget to get back to you TW, I still have some brain fog.
Love the new emoticons Laura and Russ, so much fun!!!!
