I love receiving recommendations from others for films and books too, and especially when it comes from the heart. You know what I mean; “wow, this film was amazzzing!”, that kinda recommendation.
I like watching stuff that I would not normally have considered either, and Apocalypto certainly fits that bill. No way would I have picked this film, its not even in English!
I also love not having the faintest idea what the film is about. I never read the back cover, which usually gives you a taster of whats gonna happen. So when I sat down last night to watch this film I had no idea what to expect, none at all. I was expecting a typical Hollywood blockbuster.
And what a cool film, I can see why you loved it, I loved it too. So thanks very much Sunflower, 10/10, I will take more of those kinda recommendations any day of the week <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twothumbsup.gif" alt="" />
There is also another reason why I enjoyed this film so much. Did you see my post about my first round of DMSA? Did you see I got some colors back? Blue and a little bit of yellow, green and red. Mostly blue. This was the first film I watched with my new eyes! The first film I watched with the new colors back. The first film I watched with more depth perception back. And wow! And double wow! I had to go get my wife over and ask if this film was extra special super doper quality or just what normal films look like? “Nope,” she said….”its just normal…you are finally now able to see things like I do now.”
I can tell you the colors sparkled at me all through the film. I was blown away by the clarity, clearness and the vibrancy of the colors. And they painted the main man blue! Which is the color that has come back the strongest. LOL
So yeah, wow and double wow! Was a wonderful experience, I will probably always remember this film because of the colors thing.
Thanks
