In the UK, you are entitled to a copy of your dental records under the Data Protection Act within 40 days, subject to a reasonable 'administration' fee.
When i applied for mine, a receptionist called back on behalf of the manwhodestroyedmylife/dentist asking why i wanted my notes. This is NONE of their business. You can simply assert you wish to exercise your rights.
The scant photocopies i *finally* received after this time - and several enquiring phonecalls / letters (!) - were charged, ludricrously, at 25 quid. No i didnt pay <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
