I'd be curious to hear other people's opinions on SLS and its alleged toxicity levels. I don't know if I buy into the idea that it can lead to cancer, as has been alleged, but that doesn't omit it from the list of potential toxic candidates (even if it doesn't cause cancer it can still cause other problems.) If Wikipedia is anything to go by it sure doesn't speak highly of it - and mind you, SLS is in just about every product known to man!
I've always felt that natural should, surprisingly, be cheaper and healthier. Why should I pay MORE for soap that does NOT have perfumes in it for example? Shouldn't it be less? And why clean your garbage disposal with some heavy duty detergent when you can use lemon rines, for example? Sometimes I mop my floor with vinegar instead of chermicals but I have to be honest, if I want the floor to look half as clean as it will be with some cleaning agent, I have mop it three times very vigorously. Sadly, the chemical products do work better - but not without their consequences perhaps.
So I've read all the theories, both sides and everything in between. What do you folks think about SLS. It's in just about every "natural" product out there you can find. I'm not looking for links and stuff, I'm looking for YOUR opinion. What do you folks think?
