Hello. Now 10 months after amalgam removal I've got most of my hair back (I'm a male) and eyesight is getting real good (not the usual blurry vision). Has anyone else got their hair growing back sometime after amalgam removal + full vision restored?
I don't think the vision problem is due to mercury however, because my vision varies sometimes, so I assume its more a candida problem? In fact, I'm not sure if most of my problems are mercury related as the brain fog is likely candida too.

I had my amalgams removed in quadrants, finishing about 2 weeks ago. After each removal, I noticed that my hair was shedding significantly more than normal for a week or two, but then it would stabilize. I never lost a noticeable amount, but it was definitely far more than normal. Time will tell if I get more hair; my hair has always been thin, so I could only hope! I am female.

Candida can grow excessively when there is mercury toxicity. Candida can greatly decrease mineral absorbtion. The ones that come to mind first are zinc, magnesium and calcium.

It was a typical male pattern thinning, starting from the middle, and then also in front on both sides, and also gradual, slow.
And no, I havent detoxed with anything else than ALA, and that was recently. My body is aggressive without any supplements on these candida thingies and parasites, and it's been a small hell since the day I got my one and only filling removed (excessive salivation, no feeling of hunger, hurting kidneys and crashing adrenals).
If I supplement with anything more strong, my body simply gets extremely aggressive, I don't think its worth it.

I know about the blurred eyesight, go through that all the time. Somedays I have blurry vision and I swear on some days the colors are brighter. My hair is really coming back thick and growing like crazy at the moment. Could be all the supplements I take or maybe I should take it as a sign of things getting better. It's really hard to be skepticle with this mercury crap. Never know from one day to the next what symptoms are going to arise.
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

I can't say calcium and magnesium (400 + 100 mg per day) has helped much with my hair growth, but zinc seems to help alot. When I started with 15 mg zinc per day a few weeks ago, the hair growth has accelerated clearly. It would also grow back without zinc, but more slowly. Since zinc also helps with my adrenals, I think its a good idea to supplement with zinc if you have a candida problem.

taking zinc by its self in men will lower estrogen levels increasing production of testosterone in the blood stream ,testosterone will increase hair growth both in men and women ,but be careful as testosterone can convert to (dihydotestoterone or dht )which is 4 times more potent than testosterone and can cause all that new hair to start falling out again at a faster rate than before ,saw palmetto is good at preventing this convertion

I had my 8 amalgam fillings removed in July'07 and was taking DMSA and IV DMPS under supervision of my doctor. Most of my symptoms such as eczema, muscle stiffness & cramps are almost all gone now. However, I have lost all of my hair & most of my eye lashes and eye brows!! I am asking my doctor to stop DMSA & IV DMPS. I am now just taking general supplements such as Vit B, E, Zinc, ALA etc and I really hope my haie grow back soon.

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. I also experienced hair loss in the last year of my mercury poisoning from amalgam fillings. Mercury induced hair loss is related to the fact that mercury causes DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) levels to rise in the body. DHT kills the hair follicles causing hair to fall out resulting in some degree of baldness. Incidentally, high DHT also causes enlarged prostate. To counteract high DHT, you can try Saw Palmetto. Hope this helps someone.

before removal, my vision was so bad, i couldnt see without glasses and my eyes were always watery and i felt alot of pressure behind my eye balls. as soon as all amalgam was removed i could see clearly it was like a miracle.

Mercury interferes with the mechanism that regulates interocular pressure (the fluid pressure inside the eye) which causes the eye to change shape causing nearsightedness in some and farsightedness in others. There is virtually no end to the scope of damage that mercury induces to the body. Perfect Eyes may help.

All the usual stuff... depression, anxiety, shyness, near-sightedness, loss of hair, bad breath, skin rashes, sleeping disorders. These problems are now gone, or have improved greatly.

wow, glad to hear of this. For me, it was a combo of candida and mercury that did weird stuff to my hair and eyes. I did not go 'bald", because i take after the side of the family that has over thick hair and females seem less suseptible than men to this (though I know it happens). But I have had instances during toxicity of my hair becoming brittle and wiry and less strongly coloured. At onetime it most definitely did thin out, so much so that it was commented on often "what's happened to your hair, have you had it thinned out?" etc. Along with that, changes in vision - blurred, inability to change focus from one thing to another, basically I struggled at one stage to even read a road sign that was close to me. Another really weird thing was after my last removal, my face changed shape or seemed to. I had a feeling of mouth constriction, and my facial cheeks seemed drawn inwards or somehow pinched.
I never got glasses and I think that was because I knew instinctively that this was not vision related, but something in me causing it.
Candida diet helped that dramatically, but I believe the root cause was mercury for sure! During the times of becoming less toxic and healthier, my hair improved dramatically in quality and colour and softness. Eyes became very clear and healthy feeling and looking. And many other changes like the skin, appearance, body weight, mental outlook, energy, etc.
NO doubt about it, these things have such an impact on a person's being, that the person can become almost unrecognisable from what they really are. Both physically and behaviour.
