I'm a new member.Have put up a few posts already and now I'll introduce myself,I like to do things backwards. After reading about some of you &your stories,I know I am among kindred spirits here.I am halfway through replacing fillings, and have been having a rough time.I won't list symptoms, pretty much all of the above!Since last visit to the dentist strange things have been happening a few things I noticed is I keep forgetting what I'm saying mid sentence,my spelling &reading :my brain is scrambling letters, something I never noticed before.(Does metal=dyslexia?) Anyway with these symptoms in mind I can ask you all in advance to forgive me if drift off mid-post,I've probably 4gotten what I'm saying and maybe if I scramble words, you guys might also have this problem &actually see them as the words I originally intended to write! This is a great forum. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Sunflower

Hello Sunflower Welcome I know what you mean about having someone to talk to. Being toxic is hard to deal with and sometimes detox becomes overwhelming and is nice to share your experiences with someone in the same boat. At least you can see that some of the things you are going through....others are too. Good to have ya on here! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks skieslimit, yes it can be lonely when family&friends don't really understand what I'm going through.I feel like I use more energy than I should trying to explain what I'm going through.Bring on the day when mercury poisoning is front page news(for the right reasons)At the moment I'm planning to visit all local children's schools.I have been sick so I don't know how soon I can do this but I'm gathering information &going to tell my story to parents &teachers, because unfortunately, dentists are still telling people that mercury fillings are safe. Maybe I can get some other local people on board too...Anyhow that's my mission at the moment. Thanks Sunflower

Thats what i like to hear, optimism!
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third it is accepted as being self-evident."

Don't complain . . . . . I've been like that for two years or more! . . . . . and I haven't even started treatment yet!!!!!!! Yes, it's that mercury doing its thing. Lack of brain function has been my biggest response to mercury - or at least the most scary. If it helps, my test for brain function is to play Free-Cell patience on my computer - when the computer starts "cheating" I know I shouldn't drive or use machinery. It is a more subjective test, because it is probably not likely that the computer could cheat.! If you are unfamiliar with Free Cell, all the cards are displayed face - up. If you really cannot find a specific card, it logically has to be your brain which cannot "see" it. Hope this is some help to you. I'm only on the beginning of the journey myself, so I hope I don't get too much worse once I start treatment!

Hi sunflower. Just re-read my earlier message to you, and realised it didn't come across the way I intended. I wasn't diminishing your problems, just indicating that I know exactly what it is like to have intermittent brain function. It is scary, and difficult to explain to non-sufferers why some days your brain works fine, and others you have trouble remembering how to get your clothes on properly. Probably the best medicine for these problems is to just laugh about your situation. Accept that this is how things are at THIS moment in time, that you can't change NOW, and you know things will get better. . . . . . . . and laugh. One day you will look back at it all . . . . . . . and laugh at how you were doing things. So laugh NOW. And if people start to think youv'e gone mad, so what? At least you have a good reason . . . . . . what's their excuse!

Hi Carol NZ,
Welcome to the forum!
I feel I'm at a different stage since I last wrote.I have done a lot more reading, researching, experimentation etc, and most importantly since early October I now have no amalgams in my mouth. I think the dyslexia symptoms are at bay at the moment and I don't feel so freaked out when I forget things ,I am more understanding &gentle &patient with myself now. And yes it will all pass, although it can be a challenge at times to be positive &believe that some day my I will be in optimum health. But that is my hope & what I'm working towards.
There have also been a few changes on the "nobody understands or listens" front I wrote in the earlier post. It turns out that through my researching, books, internet, natural practitioners, dentists, the info from the people on this forum, I have been talking to members of my family &other people I know, and sharing the info.I've learned and they seem to be slowing acknowledging /accepting the facts. This is a huge breakthrough and a very positive development. However when it comes to the personal physical struggle, the detox/the symptoms, well I feel I have to trudge through this alone, but it makes the World of difference now, when people are not challenging me on top of experiencing the symptoms.
Yes it's nice to laugh if you can,and I've been able to have some laughs in between and it's very healing and I'm very grateful for those times.
Everyone is mad in one way or another these days,I don't worry so much anymore about whether or not people think I'm mad.But I do only tend to laugh only when I actually think something is funny or if I just feel like it! I'm no fake laugher!
