started to feel my symtoms coming back all this week , I am glad that I keep a daily log on suppliments, foods and treatments , I started taking 400 mg magnesium citrate daily over the weekend and by monday I started to feel my symtoms coming back ,so had doc order a morning blood cortisol test and got the results back today and cortisol was very high again ,high cortisol and low cortisol have the same symtoms depression, fatigue, anxiety and many others . so a good way to see if you have you have high or low cortisol is to take 400 mg magnesium daily and if you feel good within two days then you probably have low cortisol , but if you start feeling like crap after two days then your cortisol is too high and may have to stay away from magnesium untill the pituitary gland is completly mercury detoxed and healed otherwise the adrenals will kick out too much cortisol

Well I have my ups and downs too, but didn't feel much difference from taking regularly some 100 mg magnesium per day. While the mercury can be responsible for this random behavior of the adrenals, it could also be the bugs. I know I have them, because an anti-candida diet helped right away, but I may still have other bacterias and viruses, as I get Herx reactions from garlic and alpha lipoic acid (i.e. burning sensation under skin and sweating), but I have no problems with other sulfur containing foods like eggs (these don't kill bugs as efficiently as garlic and ALA do).
The reason why I talk about bugs here is that they give a reason for the adrenals to behave like they do, because when the body gets more aggressive at killing the bugs (especially at night, when the immune system works best, I noticed, and when you supplement with glutathione increasing supplements), the adrenals emit cortisol to make sure that dead bugs don't cause an inflammation.
The reason why everyone should suspect they got more or less bugs like candida, viruses and bacterias around, is that mercury weakens the immune system that gives way for these nasty bugs to thrive in your body. Also stiff and crackling joints (with still no significant problems) are a sign of bugs.

I concer, bugs all over the place. I just finished a parasite cleanse and I killed a load of something. Had a huge die-off, followed by a healing crisis. Together with some other things I tried I now finally feel like I’m healing. Everyone should try to kill some parasites ‘cause mercury make you weak to them.

I agree on killing the parasites, just did my second parasite cleanse and have lots more energy as well as less problems with my stomach. Sure am craving sugar right now tho like crazy, usually have really good will power but at the moment it is kicking my butt. anybody have any suggestions, I just started taking the olive leaf extract too.

There are many reasons why the adrenals can be messed up. Parasites, undiagnosed hypothyroidism for years that exhausted the adrenals, stressed life-style, and just the good old plain mercury load that our bodies had to endure for so long...
So which is it? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe one of these answers, maybe two, maybe all of the above!

I had my thyroid values checked twice, and nothing. Don't know if that says anything, but I really haven't had any typical hypothyroid symptoms either. So in my case, I would rule that out. But I'm at least getting an adrenal crash after a round of chelation, takes about five days to get in shape for another round. I think zinc helps to reload the adrenals.

My goodness, Mikey I thought that I knew just about everything there is to know about magnesium and I have never heard about the cortisol thing! It seems to be true for me as I just had my cortisol levels checked and they are too low and I need lots of magnesium to keep me going.
Where did you find this info? I love finding more puzzle pieces

hi searching : there is a book called "adrenal fatigue ,the 21st century stress syndrome " by james l. wilson ,in his book he desribes different suppliments and foods that will help to heal the adrenals , but with my experience my adrenals are putting out more cortisol than normal and some suppliments will make them put out even more , most of this is caused by mercury toxic pituatary which will take a while to get back to normal
