Awwww, I feel like burying my face in his fluffy tummy Sunshine!!!!! He's gorgeous and I'm sure he knows it

I'm thinking perhaps the birds thought he was just a harmless fluffy teddy bear But what lies within Poor birds! Cats are lethal to our bird population here in New Zealand, thankfully we have wild life centers around to try and protect these native birds that otherwise would have been wiped by the claws (sounds like a gang).

I adore cats, but I do not adore their instincts for birds. However, that is their survival, can't blame them for that. Wouldn't mind so much if it was just mice and rats they went after....my cat wasn't so hot on getting birds and I remember I caught her with one and opened her mouth and let the bird go. She was purring at the time I caught her, but was NOT purring after I let the bird go. The bird was fine luckily and hopped away. May have died of shock afterwards I don't know. I've helped a few birds out of situations with cats.

My cat also used to pounce on me a few times too. She would hide and wait and leap out and scare me half to death. Wrap her paws around my ankles and feet and bite, or just generally leap on me and then take off at top speed. You know that stance they get? They get ready to pounce and kind of move their hips around ready to take the big pounce. That was her big thing. She'd hide behind a chair with a coat on it and wait. You'd be in big trouble if you were not wearing shoes. She would go for you and your feet.

I love cats
