I think I have heard about taking it by mouth but I haven't been quite that brave. It does look like a whitish/greenish/grey chalky powder.

out to my garden too... I have to do the rounds on the tomato plants to get the potato bugs off them daily. Those monsters will munch a plant to the ground in a couple of hours. I need to figure out a way to attract them to something else the way you use beer to attract slugs, that's what I need, a potato bug trap. I'll figure something out I guess.
