That might apply to certain things, especially antibiotics, which stimulate the immune system, of bacteria included.... but it really doesn't apply to things like black walnut hull, which walnut trees has been using and providing naturally for thousands of years, successfully, to protect themselves daily against parasites, predators, bacteria and fungus... and I have never met an ant or cockroach or flea that had the ability to become resistant to boric acid.
