yup, we are going with 5 families. 7 kids from the same class. they will all be doing ski school together. we have arranged an instructor to take them every day.

plenty of time for us adults to relex, catch some rays <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

yeah well, you said this and I KNOW you are just trying to make me jealous.

but have fun anyway.

Austria gee whiz I ski in a miniature ski park that's all we've got here compared to that. Keeps me from getting rusty I tell everyone. I suppose it beats sitting in lawn chairs with your goggles at the bottom of the slope asking the kids how conditions are though. huh.

just kidding really. But it does all sound like waaay too much fun still. Are you sure you can handle it? I bet you sit there watching the kids for one day, maybe two and then it's going to come down to... c'mon guys lets rent some skiis what the heck... I have been telling my daughter for years now... puhlease... come skiing... and she would not budge and so then i took her out there one day early this season, back in early december... I told her i needed her to help carry some stuff for me... I demanded she come and help me... and that was it for her... she stood there for 30 minutes watching all the other kids screaming with delight and she gave in. And once she had that snowboard strapped on there was no turning back.

I always feel much better after a day of skiing then I do in the morning before I go, it's really true... I can be stiff and tired and not in a mood to do anything all day but I get myself out there and after about an hour of it I am all loosened up and feeling marvelous. Gets your blood running real good and your heart pumping with so much adeniline. I just have to somehow teach the kid to stop her snowboard properly right now she's so happy just blasting down the hill but when she needs to stop she's in that early habit of just folding and falling. I have her getting off the lift with perfection though. She's only been out 3 times so far. She wouldn't go for a few weeks after the second time, bruised herself up pretty good. It was so wet out there the other day, having a warm spell here, she looked like she had been to a water park in her snow equipment. She was wearing these brand new jeans and she kept leaving looong blue skid marks with her butt all over the hill when she fell. So at least we could keep track of her progress that way.
