I don't water the aloes very much... maybe every 3-4 weeks or so I water them real good but let them dry out inbetween. They like dry, they are sort of a desert plant. make sure they drain well. They seem to like clay pots best. I use organic garden soil and mix some sand and pebbles from the river in. I rarely fertilize them, maybe just twice a year I'll use some fish fertilizer or a little miracle gro. In summer I let them get a couple months of partial sun. They get HUGE. I think if you were to put them in a real big 24 inch pot they would probably get 3-4 feet tall. Mine are about 24 inches tall as it is, about 3 feet wide, all you can eat and soften your skin with. The big leaves/stalks at the base are about 3-4 inches wide and 3/4 to an inch thick. I don't use oil everyday, probably 3 times a week if I have the luxury of time to do it after a bath or shower. Most of the time I am just racing around so 3 times a week is about maximum for me. I don't like to just oil my skin, because it does soak right in. I'll do that if it's all I've got but I melt cocoa butter with other stuiff because the cocoa butter is a lot thicker, waxier, and doesn't soak in as quickly. It also makes scars go away, keeps your skin a nice even pretty tone. Makes for superb legs. I think protecting your skin is just a very important thing to do, it's the largest organ of your body, protects us from all sorts of things when it's healthy, also will eliminate toxins better through the pores when it's healthy.

I'd get an enema kit too, I got mine from tuberose.com, it makes a big difference. Do the herbals and the enema. I put some bentonite clay (got that at tuberose too) in the enema water too, it seems to work real well, drains out poisons, loosens stuff that is sticking in there, also kills parasites. The enema kit is really just a big douche bag with a straight little tip for enemas. I was actually afraid to do it the first time I am such a woose. It was so easy. The herbals help me a lot but the high enema really completes the job. There are great directions on that colon cleanse page I posted about a dozen or so posts up from here on this page. I should have gotten two enema kits so that I don't have to stop and refill. I am trying to imitate a professional colonic. The enema kits were only $15 each, plus shipping. The high enema in the privacy of your own bathroom may offer some advatages I think too, you can add things like bentonite, h2o2, and then also I noticed if I roll onto my side and let the stuff sit in there a minute it'll release stuff from different areas when I thought I was already done. The herbals work to soften stuff up and the high enema really flushes it completely out. makes a big difference.

Seriously, I think colon cleansing is probably number one for detoxing, and with the enema and herbal combo you sure cannot beat the price. I think I spent well under $100 altogether for all that, and the enema bag is reuseable for a long a time, sterilze the tip before and after using it... boil it and/or wash/soak/rinse everything with h2o2 too. Don't share it with anyone.
