Seriously, aren't you worried about things like salmonella and stuff feeding them raw supermarket chicken and whathaveyou?

Gosh, normal supermarket chicken, even beef, I eat very little of it myself. We do get some good amish farm chicken where we live, we get grass fed no hormone beef. The fat hormone antibiotic shelf chicken... gee whiz did you know they grow those birds in 5 or 6 weeks? That is not a normal bird. I was just talking with a cattle guy friend of mine about that the other day, we were laughing pretty good it's such a gross idea the drugs they pump those caged birds with.

I kept chickens for a while once... they were quite a bit different on the table from supermarket chicken. Different species if you want my opinion. Supermarket chicken, you'll notice that the bones are a bit soft, the meat fatty. Free range chickens have very hard bones and taste a bit gamey, lean, quite different. they also generally take about 4-6 months to reach a size where you would consider eating one. Until you've eaten real free range chicken you have not eaten chicken, really.

So, well i don't know sunshine, it's a nice idea but are you sure that's really what you are doing considering all? Unless of course you are buying them good healthy free range chicken, then i don't have anything to say.

Every now and then I will stoop and but regular supermarket chicken if it's on sale... sad things is my cat likes the amish chicken but doesn't eat the other regular stuff much no matter how nicely you cook it. I should take a hint, she has a better nose than i do.

That's funny, I took out the veggie juicer for the first time all year during my liver cleanse too. Didn't realize how much I missed fresh carrot juice.
