Hi Tumbleweed,
Yes,I can identify with that.I have not gone to a doctor in years. So fed up with doctors offering me drugs for "depression" & anxiety.I did not feel depressed but was told my fatigue was depression,&was always offered antidepressants.Never took any.And as far as I'm concerned anxiety is completely natural reaction from our bodies under such strain.I remember one particular visit to Dr. years ago,I had been ill for months &all bloodtests results were "normal"
I felt so anxious& thought I was dying...the doctor jumped up and shouted at me ,"What do you mean you?any of us could die any minute,a bus or train could come crashing through that wall any second &we'd both be killed!"
I thought this was an interesting technique for dealing with an anxious patient.Maybe he figured I might take the drugs after that!

Anxiety for me has been 1 of my worst symptoms, but I have learned to respect it.It is my bodies alarm to make me stop and see what's up.To take care, rest &eat good nutritious food regularly. When I do this my anxiety is mostly kept at bay.
It can be so frightening to feel anxious, especially in a place where you have been for years (like the local shops)and I was particularly bad with this, couln't go outside some days.
It's confusing to feel anxious in a place you should feel safe, even in your home.
Yes this is why I call it the worst &most disabling symptom of them all.
