I went through the US education system during part of the time frame this article discusses. I went to college there. I taught for 5 years here in the UK. That's my data. The article was discussing things that I have experienced in a number of ways, in two different countries, as a student and a teacher.

If you want to get into one-upmanship about who went to what university and what that supposedly says about you, I couldn't give a monkey's. Like Elvis said, debate it with Jill.

No, what I said is that we seem to be referring mentally to different definitions when we use the term "humanist." Why don't you define what you think it means, and I'll give my definition. Maybe we can better understand each other that way. Without the insults please.

You are putting words into my mouth. I have no problem with moderate Christians and I don't think they are ignorant because they believe in God. I do have a problem with fundamentalism in all its forms, no matter what religion.
