What on earth is happening to this forum? When I joined this forum in July 2006 I found it to be a really nurturing and caring space. Over the last few months it has deteriorated rapidly into a downward spiral of sarcasm and hostility.

Forums like this exist to open the channels of communication with friendly advice and banter. If new potential members have a good old gander at some of the recent posts I don't believe that they are going to have much interest in hanging around.

Please please please stop with the arguments. This was, or should I say 'is' a unique forum so let's keep it that way. There are plenty of other hostile philosophical debating forums out there. Don't get me wrong, debating is fine as long as it is coupled with sincerity and respect for other people.
