Most people, would benefit from mercury chelation and a candida diet, simply because it lessens toxicity in the body and both of these things are common because many of us are not as healthy as we think we are. A certain amount of mercury and yeast overgrowth is probably present in the majority of human beings, even those pretty healthy.
Everybody has a certain amount of toxicity in their system, but those in good health even on pretty bad diets maybe lucky enough that they have an immune system keeping things at bay. But even they would probably benefit from some detox. Sometimes a so-called healthy person can have many things catch up with them later, when they had previously gotten away with it for so long.
I definitely admire people like Huggins who bring our attention to these problems.
However, I do not admire anybody who begins to allow some greed to take over, or any deception to creep into their diagnosis. not say Huggins does this, but I am sure some of them do. I've come across it myself and you can catch them out sometimes too. They get VERY irate when you start facing them with their own contradictions and saying one thing to you and then the opposite later on.
If you have a good memory for things like that, you'll find yourself becoming frustrated with it very quickly and disheartened by certain health professionals.
I was very ill and a doctor, without even testing me, suggested I try a candida diet. What did I have to lose? By my symptoms alone, he felt that there might be a yeast overgrowth. He happened to be right, yet no test was given. Because of what he did, my symptoms were greatly relieved and my depression lifted.
But he didn't "pretend" he knew, he was very honest with me and simply decided to give it a go. I admire honesty like that.
