How bad were you before you had your amalgams removed?

I keep hearing about people going downhill after they have them removed. I have quite a high pressure job which requires me to be at the top of my game, and I simply cannot afford a bad reaction to removal. I am seriously thinking about leaving them in.
As for you, I can't really offer any advice, except for try and keep a positive attitude through this, and any pain your going through now will be worth it in the end.
