I can't comment on the post. I am interested in science, and I do read much about it when I have time, but it isn't a pursuit of mine. I mostly read its application in the areas that interest me, forensics and creation/evolution.

However, fundamentalist christians who believe that the earth is a few thousand years old are guilty of a gross interpretation error, as nowhere in the bible does it say that the earth is only 6days+ life to 12,000 years old (the range of belief). Man has been here for over 6k, that doesn't leave much time for the dinosaurs etc. Scientifically, the bible contains no errors, and in fact stated some things which were considered errors at the time, have since been proved true (the earth being round, supported by nothing, universe had a beginning etc) Even some of the "miracles" contained in it, people point to as showing how it is a book of stories, however, I saw a show on Discovery channel a couple years back about the parting of the red sea, and they actually demonstrated scientifically, how it could be done. A flood that consumed the whole earth was deemed ridiculous, yet now that we have the knowledge, we can see that this occurence was a high probability.
