Alright, first off, I don't own a television. I rather like not owning one. I also like telling people that I don't own one. It's a useful tool but most of what is broadcast is use
less, compounded further with the fact that when one watches television, it is proven that our brain waves slow down, bordering on theta. So if you want to tell anyone that TVs are great brainwashing tools, you're preaching to the choir on this one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />. Lastly, I'm a fairly young fellow but for some reason have always been old fashioned. I like writing letters with paper and pen rather than e-mail when possible. And I definitely prefer to read long pieces of information with a physical book rather than off a screen. I say all of this so you can simply understand my personality.
That being said, I do tend to flip through the endless milieu of channels when visiting my family. And, on occasion, when visting, I stumble upon the History, Discovery and Explorer channels, and then I proceed to sit and watch, sometimes entire episodes.
And most of the time, they're broadcasting all this Jesus hocus pocus, trying to prove that Noah's arc really existed and how some blanket has the imprint of Jesus' face and so on. The only real propoganda I've seen from these channels is Christian propoganda. A lot of times it appears they show both sides, skeptics and believers alike, but they're still definitely selling Christianity.
There's no way you can demonize the Discovery Channel by saying it's anti-Christian when, on the contrary, it's brimming with Christian persuasion. In fact, if I flip to one of those channels one more time and see yet another enaction of Jesus while they to explain about the apostles this and the scriptures that, I'm seriously going to get hysterical

. It's so over the top that telling me they are anti-Christian is like telling me it's not hot outside when it's 96 degrees fahrenheit!
Just for the sake of argument, even if they
were trying to promote evolution, so what? Is that any different than trying to promote Christianity? Trying to promote anything doesn't mean they're global conspirators out to get us. Maybe some people
are using evolution as some sort of conspiracy, but guess what? So has Christianity and a whole heck of a lot of other people. That doesn't mean evolution, itself, is flawed, nor Christianity for that matter.
