Margaret Singer is considered the top mind on cults . She was twice nominated for a nobel prize and has written books on cults.
Not many graduates of top universities (public or private) are reigious fanatics because they come to realize that noone's imaginary friend in the sky is better than another's and because science proves major religions to be fairy tales. So-sick is an unthinking cog in the machine of the church
My dear dear Jill,
Concerning God, Margaret Singer once told someone this "Just look up to the sky and talk to God yourself. You don't need an organization to do that." She believed in God herself, Jill. She was Catholic.
Are you just a first year pre-law student or something? I have to ask, because you don't seem to have much of a sense of discovery or research, and a terrible sense of diplomacy. I just somehow do not see you lasting 10 minutes in a courtroom even with your college peers. Your presentation and demeanor are terrible. Is that what they teach at Berkeley or is it why you are still in school?
I think you'll find Margaret's writings pretty much in agreement with everything I have said here.
Perhaps even her methods can help you unwash your own mind from being unable to see beyond itself, television, and the walls of Berkeley.
There is some info about her at Factnet.org
And Look! They even have a Catholic sects section in their forum! Pretty much in fuill agreement with everything I have said here jill. Do you have a logical retort?
http://www.factnet.org/discus/messages/3/141.html?1182099333 Gee whiz, an awful lot of these folks believe in God and Jesus, Jill, what will
you teach these well studied Margaret Singer students hmm?
Linda, I found there also with a link to a page about LDS and some of it's ideas of theocracy which might interest you.
