For this reason alone it wasn’t that the bible per se that was banned, simply being able to read and write was. If they tell the people what the bible says, then the people do as they say – less people thinking for themselves equates to less people attempting to usurp their power. Your argument would have more clout if the bible were still illegal today, as you allege it was in the past. If you want to say they aren't this or they aren't that, then use current examples.

I am not debating, I am not interested in personal opinion so much as historical fact. Our opinions are many times corrupted by misinformation or simple lack of information, thus we become all little parts of the propoganda machine. I am simply providing information regarding 'this corrupt world'. I have nothing against Catholics btw, I am fully aware of the fact that there are many wonderful and believing Christans in that church. If I have been misunderstood as 'labeling' catholics, I apologize. I never did so and never meant to give that impression. I am discussing the church as a political entity, not the persons who attend there and generally do not take the time to investigate certain issues. However, it might be wise for them to realize how conditioned they are to not seek any knowledge past that which is directed to them from 'the church'. There are Christians in the Catholic church, but the Catholic church is not Christian. Most Christians within it today were born into it and the means by which the faith of many their forefathers was forced and secured has been long forgotten.
This is not a dig at Catholics, this is an attempt to show that religion, politics, and corruption are inseperable, even today. The idea of corruption of course, depends upon your point of view.

Religion, poiltics, and corruption are inseparable. You cannot discuss fully discuss one while turning a blind eye to the other, especially today with so much talk of the NWO.
