What hate? Quite seriously I think you all need to lighten up just a bit.
You know, this is an area I was required to study in college, a good 25 years ago. I actually wrote a 40 page paper on the sublimal effects of archaic symbolism on the human subconscious way back then, tracing the use of common symbol, religious, political, theatrical and otherwise, through the ages. We were required to know these things in college a quarter decade ago because of their impact on the general masses. I have been studying it ever since because it is fascinating. Once you realize certain things it's no longer possible to simply ignore them. Where have you all been?
Things of this nature may been a 'secret' in a certain sense once, but that is aeons ago already. Long before my time even. Unfortunately you don't seem to get it, that, you guys, many of you, with your so very sensitive opinions and fragile egos, are stragglers, and not by a small stretch. Even Russ has been posting similar material for the longest time, just read the various threads, and you have either ignored him or lamblasted him, and now you are proposing that you are going to wake us up.
It's laughable I have to admit. Because you are many times the same bunch that heehaw this type of information when it is first presented to you by someone else. In any case, without more knowledge of deeper issues here eg; a thorough study of the close realtionship between religion and politics, you are simply just as prone to be dragged along by one imposter claiming to know 'the truth' as you are the other. And that is exactly what I see happening here.
Anyone who would present Christians as being 'offended' by such material, or anyone who would present all of Christianity as being subject to delusion has either no knowledge of history, no understanding of Christianity whatsoever, or is trying to push the wool back over your eyes for other dubious reasons. If it were not for Christianity, chances are good that we would all still be peasants living in little huts serving either a Roman or muslim emperor and trading our itchy beans for firewood.
Christians have been the most outspoken voices to try to educate for the longest time, and the most common reaction they get is 'don't rattle my cage you bigot'.
