Actually, it depends on which "form" of evolution you are talking about.
The myth of evolution has itself evolved as new scientific evidence emerged disproving previous aspects of it.
I don't know what kind of evolution tells you how planets, stars and the universe came together.
Darwinian evolution:
NOT the Big Bang.
NOT The formation of life.
NOT The existence or non-existence of God.
NOT The Bible or anything in it.
NOT How the universe came into being or the meaning of existance.
Actually, it is not.
Just like the so-called science that supports the safety of mercury amalgams or the so-called science that supports global warming, evolution is based on junk-science.
I love science and I am appalled at what evolution has done to the integrity of science.
Strawman argument
That does not proof anything, the fact that politics and greed sometimes twist research and data doesn't mean we can just discredit everything. Yes both in the name of science and religion people have twisted the truth for personal gain, has happened a lot in the past and will happen again
The Bible does not say the Earth is a few thousand years old.
The Bible provides a complete genealogy from Adam to Jesus. You can go through the genealogies and add up the years. You'll get a total that is just over 4,000 years. Add the 2,000 years since the time of Jesus and you get just over 6,000 years since God created everything.
If you're an evolutionist, you also believe that all humans descended from a common ancestor. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
yea, single celled organisms
All relationships begin with faith. You may be surprised to find that the Bible does not ask that you simply believe it or simply believe God without evidence.
If god showed up doing fancy tricks in front of everyone, everyone would believe he exists, but it wouldn't be based on faith. There are many processes such as the holy trinity and resurrection that have to be taken by faith alone
In fact, the Bible provides evidence by many means, including foretelling the future and gematria.
Stories, not evidence. Jesus might have existed and have been one of the best leaders the world has known, but there is a chance his actions were glorified in the bible (written by men)
I don't mean to offend you but you clearly know nothing more about the Bible than college textbooks have told you or the corrupt and lying Discovery Channel has taught you.
cheap shot, stop assuming <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
I highly recommend that you study the Bible for yourself and discover that—for the true intellect—it is the most amazing, compelling, and revealing book that you will experience.
I do completely agree the bible is an infinite source of amazing storytelling and teaching of morals
