Sandi, I ran across this page as I am trying to figure out if I can use honey or xylitol to make my ginger beer,,, ginger kills yeasts and stuff but sugars help them increase... apparently research has been done showing that ginger kills ovarian cancer cells too... on this page: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=72
