Hi Nicola,

The day I went to the ER I felt like I was dying. Extreme weakness, in a wheel chair, could not think or find words or speak above a whisper. I could not eat or open my eyes to talk (photosensitive). My heart was pounding and I was suffering. Smells and sounds were overwhelming.( I had to wear earplugs). The previous week I had been in Hawaii and a massage therapist said I may have candida overgrowth. I had been bothered by yeast infections for 30 years, which usually came out as a vaginal infection and sores in my mouth. I was willing to do anything to get better so I followed her candida diet of the usual eliminations, drank Pau de Arco tea, comsumed some fresh garlic and two garlic capsules within that 7 days.

That morning God led me to the realization of the connection between candida and mercury. A year prior to this I had a hair analysis done that showed mercury off the chart at 2.8 ppm but my primary doctor said it was hogwash so I did not investigate further. My primary said I had fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue. My husband was so concerned at how sick I was that he wanted to take me to the ER and have blood work done and I wanted my blood pulled for mercury because I knew that is was the mercury that made me so sick. (I now know that blood does not really give an accurate picture of mercury toxicitity) I asked the doctor to please "think outside of the box". He said he could could only "think inside the box" and no he could not pull my blood for mercury. He said I was having a "fibromyalgia exacerbation episode" gave me a IV shot of Ativan, a tranqualizer, and a scrip for tranquilizers and sent me home :-) My bloodwork came back within normal range except for sodium and chroride. Sodium was 125 (range 136-145), which is extremely low and I now know it was an adrenal gland problem and maybe over hydration.

How are you doing on the chelation you mentioned above?
dose and rate? I think you are right about the connection between DMSA and increase in candida symptoms. What are your symptoms of candida?
