Newbie here, just wanted to say hello world. Phase 2 of amalgam removals starts Wednesday. Phase 1 was started 5 months ago by a regular dentist and my health has become even more troubled since then. So after much reading and research phase 2 will do done with rubber mask in an oxygen tent. Opppps sorry it’s the mercury talking again….. I meant to say with a rubber dam and oxygen mask My health education has gone from zero to health freak in 7 months. I don’t watch TV anymore, I read health books! I am an ex-party animal now suffering badly from his long list of troubles, which all nicely fall into the category of mercury poisoning, although the party animal-ing and zero health knowledge didn’t do me any favors! A review of my history also has all fingers pointing to mercury poisoning. I gave up smoking 10 years ago using the eat-as-much-junk-food-&-sugar as possible technique. My teeth then needed 8 amalgam fillings in one sitting. Then I started to grind my teeth at night. Then the party continued and a started to grind my teeth in the day too and the rest as they say is history. Tomorrow is D-day and I’m looking forward to getting this toxic scrap metal out. The aftereffects will surely lead me to be a regular forum poster here. I will need plenty of help and advice.

LOL! very funny, very funny indeed. I'm just back from holiday and i can't be bothered to do any work in the office so i have been surfing here all day.... i have just been reading a load of your Bex posts...all day…. LOL
Is one of your symptoms multiple personalities?
After all my troubles and reading about all the pain others are going through with their health troubles, at least i had a fantastic time, really really a great time of my life, getting royally screwed up. All those party drugs tipped me well and truly over my toxic cliff! So many people didn’t even have fun getting screwed up.
As you can tell I’m in a great frame of mind today, I can’t wait for tomorrow, even if it does screw me up, at least I will be going forwards and not treading water.

I dont envy for you for going through my posts, congrats on getting through them. Multiple personalities? lol I'm not sure if you're referring to all my different names on here or me! I do have mood swings though
Well, I'm glad you can look back on having a lot of fun, which is good. I had a wonderful childhood and a great early adolescence, so that is something I'm thankful for. As for the rest? Um, it's not something I enjoy looking back on, nor is the present, but I keep trying to find a way of improving.
Hopefully the amalgam removal will lead you to gaining more stability in your health. Party drugs were not something I got into, I was lucky in a sense because I was too ill to keep trying them. And with my addictive nature and tendency to go to extremes? it's probably lucky I didnt! Many people thought I was on drugs anyway becuase of my mercurial behaviours (uncontrollable giggling spells and very idiotic behaviours). I try not to attribute that to my natural self (though I suspect that has come into it), but I am aware mercury defintely can do that to me. So drugs or no drugs, this stuff can impact a person in some very very strange ways. Think of the mad hatter in Alice in Wonderland! (i'm sure you're well aware of the mercury connection to that character).
Well, I dont know if tommorrow's removal will screw you up, but it may make you feel worse for wear for a while as you do get exposure that is not completely avoidable. At least you are going to a biologic dentist and taking it slow. I think that is actually the safest way to go about it. Just a few amalgams at a time and a lot of protection and not rushing the process. Getting this accummulative neurotoxic poison out of your mouth is definitely a step in the right direction.
Cheers and best of luck!

Hello Sunshine!
Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to be a little late on the draw but I hope your removal was a success.
I'm sure you've heard the warnings about using a "conventional" dentist for this type of procedure so I do hope you're careful and take all the precautions you can. Many people that I know of who had amalgams removed by a conventional dentist have become chronically ill, even more-so than they were before the removal.
It's good to hear you've made the conversion to health freak. It's a good place to be.
Please keep us posted and let us know what we can do to help.

Thanks for the kind welcome Russ. I am currently discovering the 7/14/21 days body immune system cycle is actually correct&true. I had my first lot of amalgams out 8 days ago with rather dramatic consequences for the next couple of days and last night I felt rough and today I’m spaced out again, just like after removal. (Although, nowhere near as much.) I am impatient to get them all out ASAP, but now I am happy to be removing in quadrants with 1-2 weeks recovery in-between and not out all in one go! Now I know why it is recommended to take it slow! Everybody reacts differently to this toxic overload, I did have one amalgam out earlier in the year by a normal dentist with zero protection and the next day was just another normal day, none of the things I experienced this time with full protection happened. (see my post from 3rd august for my full “spaced out” reaction.) http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1Cool forum, keep up the good work. Sunshine

Hi Dawn, I quit smoking 9 years, 8 months, 13 days, 16 hours and 21 minutes ago. It remains the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life, even worse than the troubles I have now, I guess because it was a mental thing, a all-in-my-head kinda ting, whereas now its mostly physical. I’ve been off beer 3 years, off other booze+class A’s and class C’s nearly 2 years now. I can’t even handle them in small doses anymore
I assume this is Dawn in Heathrow? Since we are neighbors can u recommend someone to help with my diet? It is so difficult to get right! And someone who has experience with mercury detoxing. I am seeing 4 different people and they have varying degrees of mercury experience. The more opinions I get the better.

hi sunshine, i dont know any doctors but i use these sites for forums with diet info, recipes, etc www.yeastconnection.comwww.wholeapproach.comAs far as getting rid of the mercury, i use a method called frequent dose chelation, taking DMSA or ALA for 3 days around the clock. I do it cos alot of people are getting better by it so im hoping i will someday. its a very safe way of chelating. Good luck, Dawn.

Holy moley! So you going through all this horror with just a little help from your freinds? What a ‘mare. No way could I have got to where I am today without the help I have received, not a hope in hell. (Although I have come from a position of zero natural health knowledge, so I suppose I needed help!) Some of the help has been wrong, but the large majority has been good, however the mercury detox advice I have had has all been wrong and not like Andy’s book in the slightest, which is why I asked.
Re yeast and candida, I will have a read and see how similar it is to what I have been diagnosed with. (small intestine bacterial overgrowth(SIBO))
Re chelation: andy’s protocol looks like the one for me! Slow and low
