Been to hospital over last two days. Am now more confused than ever. Had my urine sample taken, then had two ETDA IV pushes. Collected urine samples. Spoke with doc who said its obvious from your fecal test that you are overloaded with a metal. From the urine test in a couple of weeks we'll see how much by. Then keep chelating you till you come down to a normal level. Then she went through all my symptoms with me and guess what, she said some of those symptoms are definately Metal related, but some of them definately arn't and it sounds much more like Lymes disease. I told her I'd had a negative test from GP and she says that means nothing. So Iv'e had to have a differnt Lymes test as well. She said the muscle cramping and twitching is more related to Lymes that Metals. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm ever gonna get to the bottom of this, although I know some people on the forum have had a multitude of things. Will it ever end, I feel like a pin cushion again. She said just wait for the results and then we'll decide what's going on and investigate further if necessary. So so far I've been diagnosed with Metal toxicity, Epstein Barr, Cytomeglavirus and now possibly Lymes. Still maybe in afew months LOL I'll know exactly how many things I've got and at least they treat them all. One relief was that I didn't suffer any terrible side effects from the EDTA, in fact Keith and I actually went out for a fab Greek meal and ashamed to say ate and drank what I liked, but had a really good time. Had to go back in today to have vitamins and minerals replaced. Funny thing was I actually felt worse after this IV. I felt extremely agitated and 6 hours later that hasn't gone. What a battle we face. I'm disapointed the results will take so long, but then again whats a few weeks out of a few years. Read an interesting article while I was there about ME. Apparently the Government are trying to persuade GP's to treat people with ME the same as patients with terminal cancer! Anyway I guess the whole experience has made me think that we could have a number of things going on in our bodies, which we're not even aware of and at least, although it's again costly, you've something and someone to fall back on. Funny I met a lady in there who has had Lymes for 7 years and only just been tested and is now being treated. I also met a lady who lives in a beautiful house in the country and is very ill, has to be on oxygen 6 hours a day, cos of the spraying in the farm next door. They have to move. I think it was Richard who mentioned there could be other things attributing to our illness's, well I think you've probably got it right mate. Maybe once the immune system is depleted we're vunerable to many things. Love to you all Need an early night, Tracy xxxxx

it does sound confusing, but at least you are getting to the bottom of it. I guess its understandable to feel worse after an EDTA push - any attempt to mobilise mercury is going to make you feel worse. Hope you sleep well.

Sounds hopeful Tracy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I would trust the people at that hospital a lot more than I would ever trust a GP. Let's hope they can help you start to get well soon.
It's a late night for me, this forum is too much of a happening place LOL.
Best wishes, Linda.

Everyone at the clinic I chelated at said they felt lousy the day of their IV, but wonderful the next. That includes myself.
We are defintely much more susceptible to parasites and bacteria when weakened by other illnesses, metals included.
Eat real healthy. No seafood, cook your meat well. Lots of common herbs can keep parasites, bacteria and viruses under control... oregano, parsley, garlic, ginger... get them on your list. Xylitol is also known to inhibiit or kill bacteria, it's why they use it in non-flouride toothpaste, plus it helps balance your ph.
There was a woman who came to the clinic with lyme disease. Between EDTA, IV vitamin C, and some sort of IV anti-viral, this woman went from a wheelchair (she said she had inhabited for 5-6 years) to full walking within 3-4 months.

Its weird cos yesterday I didnt feel 100% but last night I was so ill. I was so exsausted from all the travelling and stufff but yet again got no sleep . I was so bad I was actually begging to die. I had pains in my legs and arms and severe cramps. My head felt like it was going to explode and I couldnt move my neck at all. I had a really bad fever and tremours throughout my body. I am so tired, this illness has definately got the better of me at a present. I havnt stopped crying and I just said to Keith, I have never considered myself a weak person, but this has got the better of me and I dont know what to do any more, I feel like I just cant endure another day of this. Are you waiting for your test results Tracy? Is that when the hospital will give you a diagnosis and tell you what you can do? Hang in there then, it won't be long. Help is on its way.
Why not do some internet research on Lyme disease? If it's true that a woman could get out of a wheelchair and be walking in such a short space of time, then there must be some good treatments for this condition. I'm not saying it will be a miracle cure for you, and there are other complications such as the mercury, but I am sure you will get there Tracy. It sounds to me like things might be looking up for you at last <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Finn, did you decide to join W&R? Catherine can help you with the other problems as well as the Paxil. If you do go there, tell her everything. She will give you good advice and a supplement regime. I have seen her help many people.

If you have Lyme's and they want to do IV antibiotics, please consider the information here. If you already have chronic lymes, IV antibiotics will help in the short term, but will make it worse long term. http://www.marshallprotocol.com/forum37/3139.html

Another good resource is Lymenet http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?It can be depressing, though. What I learned here is that the people who are feeling better still constantly take heavy antibiotics / rife machine / silver ... (whatever the preferred cure). That's why the Marshall Protocol makes more sense to me. I have Lymes BTW.

Gee Tracy, I am sorry to hear this, I was just thinking how much better your posts sounded recently. Lots of people on the yeast/candida forums have Lymes' disease. It is a vicious cycle of candida and heavy metal toxicity that are worsened by antibiotics treating diseases like Lymes. The reason many of us are more affected by things like Lymes is because our immune systems are compromised by heavy metals, mercury in particular. And the more antibiotics we take, the more candida we get, and then more mercury is methylated. If you do go on the antibiotics, be sure to take a very good probiotic and keep your diet really clean so as not to build up more candida.
I have read that people with Lymes' can be more successfully treated after reducing the hmt...best luck sweetie,
LOVE Sandi xoxo
