I was reading many of your posts, and you have stated that you have been hit hard by a bacterium. I have a shot in the dark diagnosis! HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TESTED FOR H-PYLORI? This is one nasty bacteria that lives in the stomach wall and causes serious stomach and intestinal problems. It is quite common in many populations and is now very treatable. Here is a link to the page that tells all about it and it's discoverer Barry Marshall. http://www.helico.com Dr. Marshall discovered this very recently, and could explain some of the problems posted by you and others of stomach conditions.

HI Gary, thanks. NO I have not been tested for that as far as I know. My problems began after using an infected mascara! So it was through the eyes that I developed it and from there it spread.

My gut issues and even further worsening of symptoms occured after further dental work (could also be infected from extracted tooth)....somehow related to all this.

I may check that out what you have suggested.

Thanks a lot! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Bex,

Have you had the opportunity to take any anti-bacteria drugs? I was diagnosed with parasites and was given Alinia for 7 days to get rid of that, then she put me on Nystatin and probiotics and that helped the gut problem along with chelation. The ALGIN really helps my stomach issues, not sure why, but everytime I hurt and take this, it helps.

Hi there, I've had nystatin in the past, but I did not have the issues I have now from other things but definitely did have mercury and candida. The nystatin I became intolerant to and vomited often with it, so I was taken off it. Seemed to also make me toxic, which I dont attribute completely to yeast die off.

I've had natural antifungals these days but really get little to no effect from them now. I did in 2005 and used an antifungal and it was the worst thing I coudl have done. I released so many toxins at onetime that I ended up poisoned and took months to chelate it back out.

But these days, I dont get any die off from antifungals now, and no real improvements either.

I am also a bit wary of them because I feel that sometimes you can become too reliant on them or the yeast adapt....maybe I'm wrong on that, but it seems that since the use of an antifungal i dont find that diet alone is as effective as it was for me before I used the antifungal.

So I am not sure what to do. I concentrate on healthy eating as much as I can and relaise some fatal mistakes I can make are simply eating potatoes or wheat/grains. Even as bad as sugar seemingly.

I dont notice symptoms at first at all but they slowly come on me, which is not good because once I used to heal faster and when I ate something that wasn't "right" my body signalled almost immediately and I'd feel ill, but then recover after a few hours or hte next day. Now? It's insidious and not obvious until it's too late and then takes ages to improve again. Sometimes weeks.

So I feel my system is far weaker and not nearly as assertive. I haven't tried algin, but I am at the moment using chlorella and spirulina powder, so am seeing how this turns out. I dont feel quite right today so i'm hoping it is not that!

Taking chlorella is very good for your body and especially for your stomach and intestines. I kept having weird stomach problems for a few years. Almost like having bad bacteria just waiting for me to eat something wrong then BANG. Since taking about 6 capsules of chlorella a day, the stomach problems are mostly gone. I have gotten many treatments from my chiropractor/energy doctor, and he will use nutrition plus NeuroModulationTechnique to handle bad bacteria and virus's. He would also use Muscle Testing for supplements and to check where there are weaknesses in the body. I would suggest reading up on muscle testing and learning it yourself(unless you know how already) to test ALL your foods and even your supplements. Muscle testing is very easy to learn and in fact fun to do.

HI, I hope the chlorella helps me the same way. How long did it take before you noticed a difference? And how much was in one casule? I am taking about 1 gram (1000 mg) 2-3 times a day and taking about 2 gram of Spirulina about 2-3 times a day (mixed together as powder).

NOt sure about muscle testing, have had contradictory results. My doctors uses it on me for everything and has never helped me once. I went to two different healthfood shops and was muscle tested on supplements, both gave me completely opposite results.

So for me, I wouldn't have a clue who to trust.

A few years ago I had chronic abdominal pain . It turned out the the pain came from taking too many supplements.

I currently take GreenEnergy Chlorella 500mgs. each capsule.I have read other posts on the board about people having stomach problems or assimilation of nutrients(sounds like StarTrek Borg). Concerning this you could possibly muscle test strong for the supplement (good for your body) but your stomach and intestines can't process and absorb it. This could have Very bad consequences of deficient body and bad bacteria and fungus's (fungii)or (FunGuy) having rule over the body by multiplying out of control. My wife and I have had many discussions about these topics and our conclusion is that many of these problems are originally caused by mercury poisoning. That seems to be the foundational cause and because of it being a neurotoxin, it damages so many systems that it's hard to pinpoint any exact cause.

HI Gary, I have been taking the stuff, but my abdominal cramp seems worse. I may need to take a break. It could be because I ate something with batter on it the other day (wheat flour), so I could be going through that transition stage where you have to wait until improvements come again. I hope that is what it is, because I want to keep going with the green foods, but not if this continues.

But you could be right, it could be that the stuff is good for me, but the problem in my system is not allowing me to process things properly OR the toxins that the stuff may mobilise could end up not being efficiently moved out by my gut and liver. Everytime I take in toxins (e.g. cigarette) or mobilise them with something strong, I can end up in terrible trouble and it always without fail hits me in the lower abdomen.

Yes I agree, I think mercury (and other toxins similar) can mess these things up and possiby permanently. I believe I have been damaged in that way. But normally I get some control of symptoms....not so these days.

For me the problems are multi factoral. So there isn't an easy answer.

Bex if your body is not used to grains, then eating something with batter on it could cause cramps. I had a similar experience not long ago. Had to go to a restaurant because Auntie was celebrating her birthday and invited us all. I don't like going to restaurants of other people's choosing because often there's not much on the menu I want to eat, and getting enough veg is always a problem. I ordered fish, breaded and fried. Couldn't finish it. And I had stomach ache the rest of the day. This actually always happens if I have a grain. It happened when I tried sprouting some seeds and eating them once. It happened when I tried adding some flax seed to my dinner. My body hates grains LOL. If you eat enough of them you get used to them again, but when you haven't been eating them it can be quite a shock.

It may take some time for your body to get used to the chlorella too. I always seem to get a funny reaction when I start something new. Please let us know how you continue to get on with that. I hope you find it helps.

Linda.

This could be either a grain allergy or you can't digest cellulose. All grain products that I know of have cellulose and if the body doesn't make cellulase enzyme then you can get intestinal upsets. You could take multienzyme tablets when you eat but sometimes I think it's crazy how many pills we all ingest.

Thanks guys, I think you maybe right. I know that I heard a lady say that these algae like chlorella and spirulina tend to cause reactions in those with candida and she does not recommend them....so I feel rather stupid for buying them, they were expensive.

If any of you were close and wanted them? I'd send them to you. They'll just go to waste.

I have been very sick over these past days and in fact almost incapacitated believe it or not. I have a strong sensation of a stupor to where I spend all day lying or sitting feeling ill, and cramping. I have also had the runs...

I dont think this is toxic clean out from this stuff, Ithink somehow it is possibly adding to the burden if my gut is unable to handle it. I think yes it maybe the cellulose!

I used to vomit profusely with chlorella, to the extreme and all day, but I attributed that to posisbly the batch from the lab. This time that has not occured with another brand, but I have had nausea....so I think it's time to stop.

What i may do is wait , see if things settle and just try spirulina on its own....I mayhave to miss the chlorella, but we shall see.

Thanks for your helpful insights. And yeah Gary, I dont want to take this or that to help me digest a supplement...I really feelmy body is under too much strain and it may not matter what I take right now.

I dont know if it was the batter Linda, but it coudl have been but could it have been mercury? I ate two fish, mussell fritter and crabsticks...being in New Zealand we tend to think that we are safe from these things but I am starting to think differently.

ugh mussels... they put me under for about a week too, every time, strictly avoid them. ... mussels are water filters (pretty much the same as eating the the activated charcoal in your used water filter) Crab is a bottom feeder, eats the dead stuff sitting arround. Not all dead stuff was healthy when it died, keep it in mind. Quite likely your runs are from the mussels.

However chlorella can do it a bit too if you eat a lot of it. i would simply use less, half or a third your current dose, and take a couple days off each week.

The sugar is a problem, and I would never drink aspartame tainted diet drinks... but sipping Coca Cola may help cure a slight bug if any iof the mussels were a bit sick. Sip slowly, you only need a little bit. The phosphoric acid is lethal to lots of bacteria.

HI sosick, if I get ill from just two cigarettes, then I guess it should not be too much of a surprise that I get ill from battered seafood.

Took a look online to check out seafood mercury in NZ and definitely said there is significant contamination of mercury and cadmium etc in certain seafood and mussels was one of them..... and I ate a whole assortment of seafood....with the wheat flour batter.

Sometimes it's hard because I dont eat sugar, but still get cravings for other foods even without sugar and I pay for it darely...

I think the diaorreah is from the chlorella and I dont think I ought to touch it again beaause no matter how low the dose, once my body starts a reaction to it, that's it and if I push it I will vomit and it can go on all day. One might think of that is detox,....but I have my doubts. I heard some people do not tolerate the cellulose....but then some chlorellas are made with a cracked cell wall for easier digestion so that is another option I guess.
