It appears that after 7 months of consistent mercury symptoms that I share with most of you I was given a window of 3 days with little or no symptoms. On July 4 I noticed that I was getting an ear infection. I always stopped it in the past with alcohol but this time I decided to let it go on its own. I reasoned that it couldn't be worse than all my mercury symptoms. HA! By the 7th it became excruciating and I began to reconsider. As I reached for the alcohol I noticed that in my pain my thoughts were clearer and my sensitivity to sound and light had gone. I put down the alcohol and decided to let it go a little longer. Over the next three days my PVCs, Lung pressure, joint and muscle pain, sore throat, neck and back tightness and cracking all were 70-100% gone! My white tongue was almost all cleared and even my tinnitus lowered to various levels. Even though I felt weak and in constant ear pain I prayed that I would not go back to the mercury symptoms. I even thought that I would rather have all this pain than my metal symptoms.

I did not change anything in my normal regimen. I did get strong metallic tastes in my mouth off and on. I always track all urine PHs. My alkalinity went from my normal 5.4-6.8 to 7.2-8.0 during those three days. On the 10th my ear pain went down along with the inflammation in my right cheek and temple. The brain fog and sensitivity came back first and now to the same level as before. Other symptoms came back on line since in varying degrees. I am very sad that symptoms have returned. I know enough not to get my hopes up but you still do. I also feel blessed that I was given a reprieve and know that my brain can still think clearly if for only three days.

I wish I could decipher what happened. If there was only a way that I could reach that balanced “normal” feeling again without all the pain....

Ive had similar to this! I dont know what it is. I have two theories, but no doubt i'm wrong. One is that because you had something else occur, the immune system was somehow shocked and boosted in an attempts to clear the ear infection and during that time maybe that's what made the other symptoms temporary seem easier.

The other is that the body was working on the ear infection, rather than the toxicity and you got a break from that side of it for a while. Sometimes as the body tries to detoxify, you can feel continually unwell.

But again, I really do not know. It certainly is unusual! I sure wish you would get freedom from symptoms without having to have an ear infection or the like!!!

The second theory would be my guess too Bex. I would think the immune system was depressed from the infection, and also was directing its energiy and resources towards that. This probably would have meant a temporary cessation in detox symptoms. Now that the infection is gone, it's back to chelating.

Maybe it's a good sign. I certainly found that between chelation rounds recently, I actually felt worse and had more symptoms. Sometimes the body just seems determined to "get the stuff out" and there isn't much we can do apart from go along for the ride. I do think it's a healthy sign though. I'd actually worry if my body WASN'T trying to chelate on its own.

Hi linda, it is a strange thing eh? And the fact you worsen inbetween rounds is interesting as well. One person said the same thing and believes that the detox continues even after the round has finished. Some of the still floating mercury is moving out, the rest resettles and also causes symptoms. . Some people feel better on round than off and vice versa.

It is a bit like stirring the crap up in the bottom of a tank as you clean it out. The whole water gets cloudy and looks far worse, then resettles again and the same thing occurs until enough of the stuff has gone to where you dont get much when you stir it up.

Yes it's strange . . . I wish I had a little machine that could tell me exactly what is going on in my body. I'm only on my second round now, wondering what will happen when this one is over. I'm not feeling very good, but I don't have any noticeable detox symptoms. I suppose those will appear when the round is over.

It's been said before, hasn't it -- so much guesswork. Sometimes it's hard to know if I'm doing more harm than good.
