I read hal huggins book (it's all in your head ) and the book shows a list of symtoms most mercury toxic people experience ,depression and fatigue are the top two symtoms just want to see how close the book is to the real world , as for me depression was the worst symtom I had to deal with ,fatigue was not a big problem for me

Hal Huggins' book ( It's All In Your Head) is what convinced Russ and I to get all our amalgams removed. It changed our lives! Depression was definitely a big factor for me, although I would say it manifested more as hopelessness, negativity, and a constant sense of unhappiness and feeling apathetic. (Although maybe that's what "depression" really means in clinical terms.) I also suffered with a lot of anger and irritability. I went through my days feeling pretty emotionally-removed from everything...very blah and unexcited about life. The only things I would say I really cared about were animals and good food. Any moments of happiness were very temporary and easily erased by the ever-present "heaviness" I always felt. I know I hid it well from most people, but those I worked closely with would sometimes see the real me. It was horrible, but I only realized the full extent of how horrible it was when I got all my amalgams removed. Only then did I fully realize that what I had felt for more than 10 to 20 years wasn't normal. It was like a huge weight was lifted off of me and I could breathe deeply for the first time. I could go on and on. I just wish I was rich and could give everyone I met who had amalgam fillings a copy of Huggins' book. If people only knew how great life could be without the mercury poisoning their bodies and minds. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Hi Heavymetal me and Laura,
Before I even had the first metal filling replaced I read Hal Huggin's book from cover to cover-- and it left a big impression on me.
I also studied the chapters on how to nourish the body after filling removal, and the minerals to supplement-- this has really been a blessing for me to have studied and applied that. Depression was also common with me as well and it got so bad that my mother bought me one of those full spectrum floor lamps, because she was afraid I was going to kill myself one day.
The full spectrum lamp did help some--- and I stil have it and won't be without it during the Winter months
Stil-- I must say that my depression-- even during this Winter was hardly there at all, and it's been since Hurricane Katrina that I had my last of 8 metal fillings replaced. I am very impressed at the change in my outlook. When I got depressed, there was often no reason for it--things were going good financially, romantically, etc-- but a cloud was over me. ....A mercury cloud!
I don't even get depressed during PMS like I used to.
I am taking Fish oil (mercury tested) as well as Oil of Evening Primrose and flax seed oils, and I use cold pressed olive oil in my salads, so that is also helping nourish the body after the mercury detox and it helps the brain chemistry against depression.
