Is this crazy or what?Just came home from the dentist and I'm sure that I feel worse now than I did before I went to the dentist's office. I feel shaking, nervous, anxious. All he did was that he just checked the fillings and nothing else and yet I feel sicker. This is the 2nd time this happened with this same office. Could this really be possible or just my imagination?

Finn, yep this is possible and happens. Not to everybody, but it happens. It is never your imagination, this is very real. Even Andrew Cutler (biochemist) has mentioned this and talks about why some people have to chelate after just entering a dental office.
One guy I know of gets this too and doesn't know what to do about it. He said he only went in for a clean and came out poisoned (didn't even have amalgams). He tooks months to chelate it back out.
I get it and people do not believe me (only those who have it themselves). One dentist I know (probably best biologic dentist in my country), not only had a brand new office which had never previously been used for dental work, but also installed a sophisticated extraction system to clear mercury vapor once he started doing any amalgam removals.
He had only been in these new premises for a few months and had this extraction system as well. Had only done a few mercury removals from patients, so how could I go wrong right? Well, I went in just to see him for consultation and came out poisoned.
So bad in fact that I had to use DMSA to clear it back out, plus had to stick to my candida diet strictly. I was that ill. The dentist in question I do not think really believed me, even though he was well aware of the dangers of mercury vapor. i think he felt I was overreacting or something and also considering what length he had gone to to keep his office clear, it may have been rather insulting. But again, it is not my fault I get this from an exposure, even if the exposure to most is minimal. It must have seemed impossible or at least very unlikely to him. And get this, on top of that, I was also given an appointment first thing on a tuesday morning. This meant that he did not dental work on weekends or Mondays, so if he had done any previous removals, the office also had the weekend and Monday to clear. Yet I still got very very sick.
It is a relief to hear I am not alone in this, but not relieved to hear others have to endure this garbage also. The reason for this is, even a biologic dentist is removing amalgams in his office. The vapor coming off from removals is bad enough, so bad in fact that no matter how sophisticated their extraction systems are, they CANNOT clear the stuff out because it is not like cigarette smoke. This vapor is a heavy metal vapor, it is quick silver vapor and settles on everything in and around the office, the staff, the equipment, the air, the floor, it can travel and contaminate everything near the office itself and gets absorbed into anything and everything and stays there. So think of it this way. You go into this office that is doing removals possibly almost daily. You are not only breathing it in, nose/mouth (lungs, nasal area, brain), but you are also absorbing it into your skin.
So with me, from one visit to possibly the cleanest dental office you could hope for, I came home in the car unable to think straight, could not stop giggling, could not calm down, got home went into deep depression, had wheezing in the lungs, then my face began to burn and itch uncontrollably and I was in tears. I mean one visit and I knew this was it, I would not be able to go back and see the dentist again. I had what you had, awful anxiety, terror, depression and on it went.
I also have to go back to a dentist soon because my composites need replacing. This means if I do, I will be in there for hours on end because I am trying to get cerec porcelain put in which seems biocompatible for me. It takes one hour for every cerec to be replaced. This means I will be there for 4 hours to do just one side of my mouth.
I am very very tired of this poison mercury. It is ironic of a biologic dentist to remove the stuff in the same office where they work all day and treat other patients expecting safe biologic dentistry. They should know better considering they are aware of how dangerous mercury is...so why do they remove the stuff where other patients will be coming in afterwards who maybe only there for check ups or consultation, or a clean???? I'm just astounded they dont have a particular room for that alone and not go in there other than to remove amalgam.
They should never otherwise go in there or bring other patients in there except for that. I realise it's not perfect, because the vapor still gets on their clothes and does spread, but it is certainly better than doing the removals in the same environment where they are sitting most of the day, and seeing patients all day long. This amalgam removal room should be somehow sealed off as much as possible from the rest of the dental premises.
Amazing that they do not do this. And in actual fact removing amalgam releases a heck of a lot of vapor, so it's even more crucial that they consider a separate area.

I have noticed it too. Could be vapors, could be embedded toxins in their rugs, furniture, equipment etc.
Probably not all mercury either, I'd say the air and accessories in a dentists office is more than likely contaminated with all sorts of bacteria that flies out of peoples' mouths also. Which is the number one reason I rarely take my kid to the dentist.

I personally believe it is just mercury vapors and nothing else because the reaction I get is very evidentally mercury and nothing more. It is like breathing in a ton of toxicitiy (metallic). i can taste it and sense it, feel it and there are no other types of symptoms that would lead me to believe it's anything else.
I doubt it's bacteria, I'm around people with bugs all the time and never get those types of reactions. It's not those types of symptoms (at least for me it isn't). Dental visits never used to impact me at all until my immunity plummeted from an infection in 2003. Since then? I cannot walk into a dental office (even reception) without becoming toxic.
I remember I got ill onetime from being in a mechanics garage, because they were using some kind of stuff that was obviously very toxic to me. The reactions are definitely the kind where you know it's poison. And this kind was different from mercury, but similar in that I could sense it was a solvent/chemical toxic reaction.
Hard to explain.

My grandson had a couple of baby teeth removed. After coming back from the dentist he started blinking hard. A week later he is still doing it.

This is 100% real. Not a phobia/delusion at all. I've talked to many people with this problem.
