Hi heavymetalme, I've been tested on my liver phases. My problem was overactive liver phase I and underactive liver phase II.

This means that toxins that come in are actually being made even more toxic and because my liver phase II is too slow, it cannot keep up. So I do not eliminate toxins properly and they build up and poison me severely long term.

I think that from what I have gone through that the best thing is to concentrate on basic simple healing, by diet and supportive supplements. The liver will respond to that very well.

This means a diet that excludes sugar, grains/gluten, milk and possibly temporarily fruit. Reason is to lessen the yeast overgrowth in a toxic body, help heal the gut, take the load off the liver, and allow some healing to take place.

You can of course support the liver phases, with milk thistle, selenium, fish oil (mercury free), antioxidants.

I do that plus the diet with healthy fats like butter, olive oil, virgin coconut oil, fish oil etc etc. and the liver can then begin to improve its function. Vegetables, especially raw are extremely beneficial to liver function. Onions, garlic, and lots of green like broccoli etc.

The fruit you can have on the candida diet is lemons and tomatoes (which are technically a type of fruit). Best to leave other fruits till later on when you are stronger and can handle more carbs.

This is just an option for you. But the main thing is any imbalance in the body means a body that is sick and requires healing. I think that to concentrate too much one "one" issue, is not always the answer. At least for me, no matter what I tried for the liver, I found I had to do diet as well and had to be patient for things to improve.
