I had a total of 4 amalgams and am having the final one removed next Monday. I only found my way to this group a couple of days ago and I'm glad that I did, because it's opened my eyes and made me think hard about how I want to get the mercury out of my body.

I suspect that if I am toxic then it is fairly mild; I have had depression and fatigue since the amalgams were all put in at the same time 3 years ago. Physically I'm not too bad, apart from the energy problem. However, as I am not using a biological dentist, I am aware that the removal procedure is giving me more mercury. I have been taking 20+ grams of vitamin C on these days but I know it isn't going to get rid of it all.

After talking with others here, and reading up, I think I have an idea for detox formulated now. If anyone would like to comment, tell me there's maybe something useful that I've missed out , then I'd appreciate it.

I would rather steer clear of the chemical chelators. I would like to try to do this naturally. I eat something called the Paleolithic Diet, which excludes grains/potatoes/legumes and dairy (though I do like a bit of fermented dairy like cheese). I have been taking the following supplements for about a year:

Garden of Life Living Multi
colloidal minerals
Carlson's fish oil
vitamin C
magnesium citrate
calcium citrate
zinc
chromium
ginkgo
ashwagandha

To this I am going to add selenium and vitamin E, as none of the above provide much of these.

I have some Algin on order. Also I have a supplement called Detoxica which contains glutathione precursors. It also seems to me that it might be an idea to try having 3 cloves of garlic a day, or so. I'd like to try ALA for removing mercury from the brain, but I gather it's best to leave this til several months down the line.

Would it be necessary to add chlorella to this, or could I see how I go first? It sounds useful but it is expensive here.

Any advice?
