Hi everyone!
I just came back 4:30 from having two more metal fillings replaced to composite. This time it only cost $90.60 with my insurance. It would have cost only $60.00 if I had chosen amalgam instead of composite but it was $30.90 extra well spent!
They found decay on this molar as well - and heavy mercury stains that went into the cavity right at the gum line. Not a pretty sight.
The only effects I am suffering right now is that the novacaine still hasnt worn off yet- as they had to shoot me twice with it.
Though I have 4 more fillings to get removed yet- The dental appointments and time off from work are already made. God willing, I should be mercury free in my mouth by September 1st.
I tried that dental chelat mouthwash instead of what the dentist had available, and it tasted pretty good. One of the ingredients are supposed to attach to any mercury ions released from amalgam removal. I think it is oral Disodium EDTA.. not sure.
Its a good thing Im getting these out 2 at a time, because Im not going to a holistic dentist as I have lots of debts, and this is more affordable for me..
I have not had any bad reactions to the composite/porcelain material this dentist is using. He is a perfectionist, and wont even purchase amalgam because he hates how it stains teeth, as well as creates fracture lines in molars and causes the teeth to crumble later in life.
Will keep you all posted!

When I had my amalgam fillings removed (all 20), the dentist found that all 4 of my bottom molars had thin, hairline cracks on each side of the tooth. My dentist said that these small cracks were caused by the mercury fillings.
You mentioned in your post that mercury amalgam "creates fracture lines in molars and causes the teeth to crumble later in life." Well, I would agree based on my personal experience.
It's also interesting to note that all my life I had nightmares (maybe 2-3 times a year or more) in which all my teeth begin to crumble and fall out of my mouth. I would wake up all frantic and have to feel my teeth to make sure everything was okay. It may sound funny, but it was quite a horrible nightmare. Anyway, I had all my amalgams taken out 4 years ago and I don't think I've had the nightmare since... it's been such a long time since I had the nightmare that I can't remember the last time. Interesting.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Well after I got home from the dental replacement yesterday, I did an old fashioned liver flush with Epsom Salts and water taken every so many hours, and grapefruit and olive oil at night- then the next mornng you pass tons of cholesterol stones stuck in your liver.
I was concerened about all that novacaine and if it would affect my liver.
Wow, did I ever get the stones out this morning! Also, i noticed that this mornings bowel movement was very black. But then I remembered I did take about 3 capsules of activated charcoal before and after the filling removal yesterday..lol. Guess that would do it! lol!!
