2 years after onset of tonic / convulsive seizures, and now no-warning blackouts, head/facial injuries, waking up on floor concussed, bloody etc and im *finally* admitted for supposed 'overnight observation' at hospital. Took Amalgam Illness book, spread *some* awareness to couple nurses/docs i hope. Head neurologist the usual uninterested, condescending. Kept looking at watch when i spoke to answer Qs after waiting to see him for, oh, 5 hours. Doesnt seem to be a 'plan' for proceedings, wont be electronically monitored / anything like that. Its a case of if a nurse happens to walk by when it happens then it might get recorded.. :| Suffice to say, seizure occurs 1.30AM, no one around, other patients asleep. Got up to report, had to wander corridor to find nurse, found one, from different dept, said someone would come, why didnt i use buzzer? buzzer not working, its NHS, !, plus was having seizure at time, obviously, did i interrupt your fag break, i do apologise for inconvenient timing, back to bed to wait, no one comes, wander corridor again, more 'i'll get back to yous' more waiting, nurse finally comes but takes personal objection to my post-seizure (etc) anger / agitation, attempted to 'report' incident i am supposed to be having 'observed'... more waiting, more waiting, xxxx this im out of here, tried to find way out, walked home in rain 3.00am. Relief. But major downer at disorganised disinterest, v emotional but v glad to be away. Its over. Oh, no its not; someones got twitchy about me having the audacity / self respect to just get up and leave, surprised they noticed!, phones the POLICE :| who come round to my flat, bang on door, to demand to speak to me, demand / threaten forced entry??? etc, ask other ppl (strangers) in building about me, ask barrage loaded Qs suggesting i am 'psychiatric' case, / liability presumably, just doing their job apparently, finally leave after having broadcast my private hell to whole block 4am. They care you see. Wonder what aftermath will ensue, partially no longer give a xxxx. Others have had a window into nothingness / isolation / unreality. Glad Its Not Them! Oh, and seizures still not actually witnessed by anyone else, yep. Back to rationale, strength, focus, conviction, its in there somewhere, 16 rounds DMSA (25mg) chelation down.
Virago whoever that is
