Not a proclaimed biological or holistic dentist, no special advertsing no fancy reputation nothing. but I went there to get a tooth pulled... way out in the boondocks no kidding. and this guy, 28 years experience, was really good. Spanking clean sharp equipment - the nicest I have seen in any dentists' office ever, digital xrays, great talkative dental assistants, took their time and didn't rush... he looks at my tooth and agrees it should be pulled instead of fixed (sheer cracks w/major amalgam).. they numb me up...the dental assistant puts in a rubber dam to pull the tooth... I say ' a dam to pull a tooth?' She says 'oh yeah, with that amalgam in it' she seats that dam so perfectly nothing is going to get past it... I say well then how about something for my nose? She scarfs up a dental mask for me (no oxygen tubes here far as I can tell)... She starts showing me all her pretty molars that she says mr dentist replaced the amalgam in 4 years ago... She tells me she is 51 years young and had a few teeth pulled as a kid... she lifts up a partial with her tongue she says yeah I have worn this all my life, I hadnt noticed till she showed me... She appears quite healthy at 51 years young... I ask her any problems after mr dentist's mercury removal, she says no uh uh. all well and good... In comes mr dentist he says 'well we should be ready let's do it'... he wears these long lenses on eyeglasses so he can get a good macro view of my teeth... he says, 'lets get this amalgam out of there first' (to pull a tooth? I am thinking) he goes zip zip with his drill and lifts that nasty thing right on out of there easy and clean as a whistle, he goes zip zip again and cuts that tooth straight in half about just so far down and lifts it straight out of my jaw without a single twist or tug to avoid possible injury to my jaw he says.. about 2 minutes tops and this guy is done.
Very skilled and knew exactly how to do this without effort, and I go home and have not had a single ounce of pain. And I did not take take pain killers or even aspirin... he wrote a prescription for an antibiotic but i did not fill it... hate that stuff...
All my worry about amalgam removal... biological dentists and their oxy tubes and high prices... i think I will have this dentist get my amalgams out instead. He literally lifed that thing out of there, no fuss no muss no gimmicks, not a single extra molecule of mercury shed in my mouth I am certain. hard to find a meticulous skilled dentist with good hands like that believe me I do know. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, i have visited so many around here... which is why i went to the next county over this time.
I am happy to report success. In fact I was very impressed by this guy. And I am not easy to impress but you know that...
