I'm in full agreement with you. In addition to mercury poisoning I think that I have been poisoned by the food that I have eaten all of my life.

I'm 43 now and it's hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel. I'll have a good day and feel hopeful and then several bad days will make me feel hopeless.

It's hard to get other people to see the truth and harder yet to get them to act on it. I have a friend that's suffering from severe brain dysfunction and he keeps on drinking Diet Mountain Dew even though I've told him how dangerous that stuff is, particularly for someone with a neurological disorder.

Welcome,

I am also 37 and only found out in the last 6 months that there was mercury in fillings and that my 8 fillings are likely the cause of medical issues ranging from receding gumlines to a mitral valve prolapse (heart). At various times I have been so tired I literally could not get out of bed, had insomnia, frozen hands and toes, low blood pressure, bright red cheeks, depression, chemical sensitivity, and the list goes on...

I spent years and a lot of money with doctors who could not provide any explanation-they just pushed various pills at me. I was incorrectly diagnosed with lupus and put on some very toxic drugs until my doctor admitted to me that he didn't think I had lupus...he was just placating me rather than trying to help me find out what was wrong! Anti-depressants were also a disaster.

I enjoy research, and the mercury knowledge has really opened the doors to other equally evil things poisoning us as well. Did you see the study out of the UK the other day saying that sodium benzoate, a preservative in canned soft drinks (and also canned lemonade) becomes BENZENE when mixed with vitamin C? I have come to believe our entire food supply is essentially adulterated and my family and I are not only getting amalgams out, but also making some very different choices in what we eat.

My parents humor me. The reaction is more like "oh really, I'm glad you have an answer" while they continue to keep their fillings and eat their chemicals. I haven't figured out if they don't really believe it, or just can't give up the garbage that is out there to eat. However, my husband is on board and starts his removal in a few weeks.

Be glad that you figured this out now and try not to dwell on the years that you have lost, but rather the years that will now be saved and you will be able to enjoy. That is how I try to approach it. Channel any anger toward doing everything you can to get well, and to letting others know of this.

Out of curiosity, how did you stumble onto the information about the mercury? I had started getting mystery pains in my side and found a site that discussed celiac disease. I read many posts and the issue of yeast kept arising (no pun intended) so I found a yeast website. There, people kept inquiring if the new posters had had amalgams out, so I did research on that and finally reached the root cause of my problems!

This is a wonderfully informative and supportive board. I haven't posted a lot because I have been bogged down with school, but I have read a lot.
