If you have mercury then your liver is 90% sure to be congested - not producing enzymes and hormones, oxygen into the blood as it should. Usually coughing, skin issues, fatigue -- if your liver is not clean then your adrenals will not work and so on and so on. Here is my natural detox protocol: I am a high believer to integrate some homeopathics with natural chelators. 1 drop X 3 a day of Natural Cellular Defence to remove metals and toxins - increase by 1 drop every month and a half until can take 10 drops X 4 a day. If you can take this, then maybe can look at DMSA and ALA to go deeper later on, but it may not be necessary if your feeling good. Start SLOW - if headache occures lower dosage by 1/3 - ½ http://www.drzeolitedetox.com/natural-cellular-defense.htmlCell Salts - upon rising - morning only is fine http://www.homeopathy.com/catalog.php?item=9Horsetail, nettle and milk thistle tinctures - 10 drops 2X a day after meals http://dragonflyherbals.com/tincture.htmFish oils - for inflammation 2 capsules salmon and 2 cod liver oil http://www.become.com/shop?q=fish+o...ium=sem&utm_term=fish+oil+1000mgAdd some lipase with the fish oils so dont burp - http://www.integrativeinc.com/go/in...=_productdetails&partcode=111004 (#1 with each dose) Pumpkin seeds – for zinc - 1 cup per day If you have anxiety and sleep issues - GABA - http://www.elixirs.com/products.cfm?productcode=S50If real bad anxiety also some avena sativa - http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=3385&at=0If constipated - 2oz aloe vera juice before bed - no food Adjust as necessary. Probiotic - as directed http://www.mercola.com/products/complete-probiotics1 Digestive enzyme with large meals, especially if you get gas - http://www.integrativeinc.com/go/in...=_productdetails&partcode=124006Apples - 2 large granny smith per day - pectin and vitamin c Vegetables - broccolli, kale, carrots, cauliflower, beets - get a steamer works great - 2 servings per day No white table salt - use sea salt – this will last a long tine – use as much as you want! Great to bring up your minerals. http://www.celticseasalt.com/Celtic_Sea_Salt_reg_Brand_-_F_P748C6.cfmFiber – 1 scoop - 3 a day – Organic Triple Fiber – www.renewlife.comStay away from all caffeine, sugar, white bread, yeast, alcohol Sleep by 11PM Breathe Deeply This is a 12-24 month program - go slow but dont stop! *** If there is a naturalpath in your area that can do a vega test then get tested to see if you have parasites. You may need to take this before the natural cellular defence – or just do ½ dose Nat cell Defence until done the parasitic cleanse. http://stfrancisherbfarm.com/product.aspx?ID=4&Title=Bowel%20Functionhttp://www.drhuldaclark.org/therapy_zapper.aspCan take 1 tablespoon per day http://stfrancisherbfarm.com/product.aspx?ID=31&Title=Bowel%20Function

Beets are good for cleansing the liver, lots of greens and milk thistle made a world of difference for me.
Hope you feel better soon.

I don't know much about liver detoxes, or the liver itself, but I do agree that if you have mercury your liver will be very "slow". Adrenals and your liver are most certainly connected. Low cortisol means low liver function and I think the majority of mercury symptoms are caused by its endocrine disrupting effects, including adrenal disfunction
