This is true when the killing of the candida is done with antifungals too early on. If the diet is done first and for long enough time period, much of the candida will have already gradually lessened in a safe way.

Later if someone wants, they might get away with antifungals, but not until they have been on the diet for months usually. Up to them if they want to do it, but it can definitely kill candida in large numbers, and if the person is metal toxic, candida very often contains toxic metals because of that and will release them if it's killed (split open) by antifungals. Diet simply cuts off candida's food supply and candida just basically gets sick and starves slowly to death. There isn't any sudden release of metals as far as I know.

Having candida alongside mercury to me isn't good. It makes mercury more toxic (methylates it), plus frustrates healing, prevents proper absorption of nutrients, adds its own toxicity in the mix (which can be as bad as mercury), overloads the gut and liver (which is needed for detox). and can cause many of the same symptoms as mercury.

Healing often doesn't take place properly if a person is not consuming a healthy sugar free diet. IT depends on how weakened they are. For me, I had to do the candida diet or I would probably not be here now.
