Hello, smarties.
Any thoughts on what may cause a feeling of a head full of pressure? With ear canal pressure sensation, too?
It's not quite a headache; more like a tightness of the head. I know Cutler says mercury can cause a band-like tightness around the head - but so do a million other things.
I haven't been able to pinpoint a direct cause. It comes and goes, along with some numbness in the left side of the face/head.
Any thoughts on what causes this, perhaps besides mercury?

These are symptoms that I get which are from my TMJ problems. The muscles in the shoulders, neck, and head/jaw create pressure in my ears, numbness on one side of my face, and squeezing of my head (sometimes it does feel like that band). When I am overloaded by stuff that i am hypersensitive to it is worse, and when I try to detox it worsens. I'm sure it is caused by the mercury, but physiologically it is related to the TMD. If you look up symptoms of TMJ/TMD you will see these things described.

I also read that symptom on the stopthethyroidmnadness website. I don't know if its the answer, but worth investigating.

Well I am back on my cilantro soup routine, it makes exactly that, the foggy head, tight feeling, achy ear go away.
Though I wasn't foggy headed all week, but a good day with it today, ate a bunch for lunch, ate some more a couple hours ago. No symptoms to report.
If it's not mercury, hey maybe it's lead or aluminum! Are you taking any medications, over the counter painkillers? I always suffer a bad head a few days after using asprin or otc painkillers/meds of any sort.

Wow, little update.
I started taking a micro-dose of vitamin b6. 50 mgs give me noticeable tingles (which is a well-known issue with b6). However, taking a far smaller dose around 5-10 mgs really, really helps with this headache. In fact, it's largely gone after just one day of b6.
Could be placebo, but I've tried many other supps before, even more hopefully, but they haven't worked at all.
This is really interesting...
