Um...hmmm I'm thinking it might be the stirring up of the mercury during sex. Because of the increased heart rate, and everything else that would be like vigorous exercise and that can really cause a person to crash. Not just the stirring up of mercury, but the adrenals as well can get stressed. Also, if you are female it could be the mercury in your partner's semen.
Sorry to be kind of graphic here, but those would be the ONLY reasons I could possibly imagine would cause this crash after it.
I dont know how you would avoid this crash because whilst you yourself are still mercury toxic, you, like the rest of us will go down hill easily from any exertion or increased mercury exposure.
I'd say to make sure you are giving your body every opportunity to gather as much strength as possible as it's coping with this toxicity. The way to do that for many on here, myself included really is diet, plus supportive supplements and of course amalgam removal and safe chelation. Diet means no sugar whatsoever, no honey, no fruit, no potatoes, no milk, no grains. All those things add to the burden becuase they feed the yeast inside your body which is already (in most poisoned people) out of control becuase your body is poisoned and usually cannot keep yeast at normal levels.
If you eliminate those foods, at least temporarily until the yeast has been lowered, you maybe able to include them again later on. But I'd strongly advise you go on a candida diet, if you're not already and include plenty of healthy foods like eggs, meat, chicken, vegetables (no potatoes though) and possibly some acidophilus yoghurt etc and plenty of healthy fats like butter, olive oil, virgin coconut oil, fish oil (mercury free, and preferably cod liver oil). You'll have to get rid of caffeine, that is yet another stress on the adrenals and apparently can interfere with mercury detox. So you maybe drinking water and herbal tea and hot lemon drinks (you can have lemons).
This is just a suggestion though, something that may help you during this process. But chelation really is the only cure. The diet if you decide to do it can take weeks before you notice an improvement and takes patience and persistance. It's not easy for those of us used to sugars etc, but if you have high yeast levels they too can make you much sicker alongside the mercury and also interfere with detox and overload your gut and liver.

its normal for sex to tire you out whether your toxic or not lol....Some people just need to sleep for a whole day as it can really run you down....
it uses up all your muscles for starters...and it depletes zinc if your a mail and your neurotransmitters change apparently...and yes bex you could be onto something as well lol.

I can tell you personally until a month ago, for the past 4 years this wore me out. Not until my adrenals started to heal and my hormones started to normalize did even the "want to" show up, much less the energy. I am still careful to just expend enough energy so that the next day I am not "paying for it."

you don't say whether you are male or female so this may not apply to you. Huggins has found mercury in men's semen, so if you are a woman and not using barrier methods of contraception this would mean that you are re-exposed to mercury. You would also get traces of mercury from saliva if your partner still has mercury fillings. I'm not joking. I read on another list of a woman, post amalgam removal, who came down with fresh mercury symptoms after having sex with her husband. It IS a real problem - I think Huggins mentions that once you have had your amalgams removed and detoxed the body you can become super sensitive to mercury from other sources - food, yes, semen, saliva, etc etc - so it is something to be aware of.
My two cents. Nicola

I have the same effect. A couple days after I'm tired and depressed, didn't use to be like this either.

Going into so much detail will drive anyone crazy...the exposure of mercury in saliva or semen is so obscure if you let worries like this get on top of you than I can see why everyone is so anxious....try not to let things consume you..
Get your filling sout for peace of mind though

I agree it sounds obscure, but some people really do become super sensitive to mercury from any source that this is an issue. This thread is for them.

I have heard from people who I've spoken with on the phone (who have been very upset with this symptom) that mercury toxic men do have excessive tiredness after. This does go away almost completely with successful mercury detox.
A common way to cope is (although it's only helps some) is zinc supplements and cheesecake (fats).
