Hi Diane, well for someone like me, because of my ultra sensitivity and weak immunity, I am a good test to see how contaminated an area is and the dental office is probably one of the worst places I have ever been in that has caused me severe long term symptoms following a visit.

Over time, though someone may not notice immediate symptoms like me, I hate to imagine what it might do. I know a dentist near me who doesn't really go in for the mercury poisoning bit, but she has admitted privately that since this job she now has inexplicable mental problems that have increased over time. So working around mercury is probably the worst thing anybody can do, even a biologic dentist who "thinks" he's got all the up-to-date equipment for keeping his office clean is fooling him/herself. I proved that by going into a biologic dental office (which was NEW) and has sophisticated extraction system to clear it from vapor.

one visit for consultation had me so poisoned, that I was months attempting to chelate it back out. I was actually meant to go to him for ongoing visits to prepare my health for dental work (cavitations/replacement of old composites with new ones). Yet I got so ill just from seeing him, that I had to eventually opt out of the whole thing. And this dentist's office wuld probably be the least contaminted of any. He was extremely fussy and thorough and was well aware of mercury vapor dangers. Yet even then, with all his high tech equipment, his office was still completely filled with it.

I even came out in rashes over my face the following evening and had burning and itching (which is what I get whenever I'm exposed to mercury). I was wheezing, becuase i had breathed it in and had uncontrollable giggling fits (which I also get when exposed to it). Plus was very ill at the sametime and had salivation and crying spells. I was lucky that DMSA managed to chelate some of it back out.
