By the end of 1987, I had demonstrated the following:
o IP-6 prevented colon cancer in two different species of animals (rats and mice).
o Inositol is also cancer inhibitory, although by itself it is much less efficient than IP-6.
o IP-6 + Inositol is better than either one of them alone (a synergistic combination).
o IP-6 + Inositol enhanced host resistance (immunity) by stimulating the activity of natural killer cells (NK), the immune system cells that fight cancer.
o IP-6 is effective against a human cancer cell line (K-562 human erythroleukemia).
