Clare,
I wanted to let you know of a couple of opininions that I have on physiological reasons for the vision problems. I went to an eye dr. that specializes in behavioral optometry and he told me that I would benefit from vision therapy. He said that my eyes do not work together; accomodate one another and eye therapy would provide a series of exercises that would train my eyes to work together. I have not done it yet because of time and $ but am thinking about it. I know Andy Cutler highly recommends this therapy for kids and claims it helps. I also know a couple of learning disabled, ADD kids who did this and it helped. However, i have also been told by my TMJ dr. that the vision problems could very well be related to my TMJ problems. As my TMJ is so severe, I tend to feel this makes sense for me and when I move my jaw manually wider with my hands to change where the myofasia lays, I can feel improvements in the vision. A series of Trigger point injections were recommended for me to address this. (or braces and palate expanders - which I am afraid to even contemplate). Again, a lot of $ for trigger point injections - much more than the vision therapy so I am deciding if I should do this (or see if there is a difference after I start amalgam removal).
Maybe one of these areas would be worth you looking into ... I don't know if the causes are the same for you.
Andrea
