Cutler says that those that feel good while chelating should chelate for longer time for up to 2 weeks on and then take 2 weeks off. This way you get more mercury out. I would not increase the dose until the round is completed. I recently just had to stop a round because I took ALA by mistake twice in the 3 hour period. I ended up with a horrible headache. Do not recommend it.

yea, a few weeks ago I took ALA for a couple days without the DMSA formula and I felt terrible, went back to the doctor for an IV to get back to normal. Got a colonic to help that situation also.

I start feeling pretty lousy if I stop that formula for a full 4-5 days, have tried that, most I can stop for is 2-3 days, but I am not doing it all day either. I have been taking it steadily in that pattern (at night) for about 7 weeks. I have had lots of IV chelation also prior to and during that time. I am slowing down on the (expensive) IV chelation at this point and seem to be holding steady. Last time I got an EDTA/DMPS IV was about 10 days ago. That's a long time for me, I am amazed I am still feeling ok, I attribute it to the ALA/DMSA formula.
