I have to disagree with this. As one who has had a severe adrenal collapse due to a GP's incompetent treatment of my hypothyroidism, I do not think you can be careful enough with adrenals. You are lucky if the mercury has not affected your adrenals. Because my doctor missed the signs of severe adrenal fatigue, despite me almost having to crawl into his office, my adrenals are now shot, probably for life. I consider myself to have Addison's and it is unlikely that I will get off the steroids for the rest of my life. Correct and healthy adrenal function is very precious indeed - you only realise this once it has gone, and you have to take extra steroid for every additional stress.

Stopthethyroidmadness is one of the few places where you can get detailed and knowledgeable discussion and advice about adrenal fatigue, which most doctors do not recognise or know how to treat, and leave many untreated and suffering unnecessarily.
